BARRIS CRUISIN' USA BIKES BY NIRVE

Barris’ involvement in bicycle design where during the 60’s and 70’s he created Iverson juvenile bicycles for Stelber Industries and AMF. The line was packed with plenty of cool, fun features such as stick shifters, drag chutes with rip cords, and the industry’s first mag wheels.
Today Mr. Barris returns to cycling in collaboration with Nirve Sports to reiterate the “Cruisin’ USA” line of collectible cruisers. Set to debut July of ’05, each one will feature unique styling adapted from his award winning Kustom Kars draped over Nirve’s proprietary Galaxie cruiser frame.
The line will be launched with two models. The “Flames” will have gloss black paint with traditional Hot Rod yellow/red flames. The “Darts” will come in metallic silver decorated with long red and blue darts. Both models will feature panels along the rear fender skirts reminiscent of machine turned aluminum hot rod dashboards as well as authentic Barris Kustom crests.
“This is a perfect mix for us.” Said Nirve CEO, Dan Bon. “The inspiration for our cruiser frame comes directly from the Kustom and hot rod world. The sweeping frame lines of our Galaxie frame are reminiscent of low slung hot rods from the 1950’s and 60’s. Partnering with George Barris, a highly respected name in the hot rod world, brings the two cultures together.”
