"LES PO PO ’40 FORD COUPE"

Bob Crespo had done most of the major construction of his coupe by Hal Hutchins before he brought it to Barris. We raised all four fenders by taking an 8 inch section out of the body and then molding them off flush to the bottom of the body. We built the hood, frenched in the grille shell, and canted the quad headlights with tubing trim backed up by mesh. The center grille used a tubing outline with a mesh insert and it had three scoops in the hood. The rear matched the front-end styling and nerf bars. It was painted in Skyline Blue metalflake blended with Kandy Blue outlining.
